Merrifield Pediatric Dentistry is a woman-owned local small business that grew out of Dr. Ghatak’s experience as both a dentist and a mother. She has personally faced the challenges most parents encounter while trying to provide the best for their children amid the demands of modern life. Because she understands that each child is unique and every parent has different preferences, she created a pediatric dental practice where every child’s treatment is customized to them.

Dr. Ghatak focuses on preventive care and uses materials and techniques that are functional and therapeutic. She earned her Dental Degree (DDS) in 2005 from the VCU School of Dentistry and completed her residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the UNLV School of Dental Medicine. In addition, she holds board certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. She has also trained in Orofacial Myology and works as a lip and tongue-tie release specialist.

At Merrifield Pediatric Dentistry, we believe every child is unique. That’s why we tailor a custom treatment plan for each one. We take a personalized approach to children’s dentistry, adopting minimally invasive techniques along with bioactive, BPA-free materials whenever possible.
